It is equipped with Digital Audio Broadcasting and FM broadcasting capability. The Digital Audio Broadcasting uses 170-240mhz frequency, and the FM receiver uses 87.5-108mhz frequency giving it high quality reception with crystal clear sound. It has a backup system in case of a power failure employing three 1.5v AAA batteries which does not come with the digital alarm clock.
